Founder Tayfun Gönül works as a consultant and inspector in the process and manufacturing of cryogenic equipment and projects. He graduated from Sakarya University, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
He entered the energy sector in 2005 as LNG, LPG, Propane and Autogas Regional Sales and Technical Support Engineer at İPRAGAZ A.Ş. He continued his duty as Regional Manager for 2 more years in 2009. Then, in 2012, he founded TEKNİKAS A.Ş. and worked on projects that developed services for the fuel sector for 1.5 years. He started working in the technical department at OMV in 2013 and in 2018, he founded the Engineering and Technology department at OMV and became its head. He also successfully completed his 2-year duty as the General Manager of OMV's Haramidere Fuel Terminal. During this period, he also continued his duty as the Technical Committee President of SSDGD (Association of Liquefied and Compressed Natural Gas Producers), which was established by Energy Sector stakeholders. He founded Borveta in 2024 with his 20 years of experience.
In addition to the tasks he assumed, he supported the companies he worked with with his occupational safety expertise, Dangerous Goods Safety Consultancy and Visual Inspection expertise certificates.
He won the HSSE Hero, Experiment Hero Certificate and Gas Operational Excellence awards with the projects he developed and his working approach in his working life at OMV.
He also developed new services by establishing Gas Engineering Services and provided significant income to his department. He implemented nearly 20 City Gas projects that provide uninterrupted service with transportation natural gas to regions where natural gas is not available. He established and commissioned the LNG filling facility that provides fuel supply to Turkey's largest LNG-powered truck fleet. Developed and commissioned a remote level monitoring system that is 60% more economical than existing systems. He became the founder of the digitalization project, which enabled all processes within the company to be managed via the cloud system and attracted the attention of the central management.
In addition, he took an active role in the standards committee at the Turkish Standards Institute.
He has "Radiographic Test level 2 Authorized Engineer" and "Visual Test level 2 Authorized Engineer" certificates approved by the Turkish accredited institution.
He also has a "Periodic Control Authorized Engineer" certificate issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and "Construction and Service Certificate" issued by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority.
